How do I apply for an electrical permit?

Electrical permits are submitted through the Accela Customer Portal, where you can apply for permits, make payments, and manage your permit online.

Any special requirement for for service rated over 600 amps?

If work is planned for services rated over 600 amps, you must:

• Submit electrical drawings for plan review to the inspection office with sufficient time for review.
• Read the Electrical Plan Review Application Instructions.
• Complete and submit a Service/Feeder Worksheet.
• Complete and submit an Electrical Plan Review Application.

Educational, institutional, and health care facilities require the drawings to be stamped by a Professional Electrical Engineer. See TMC 12.06A.240 and WAC 296-46B-900 for additional requirements.

When should I schedule my inspection?

Schedule your inspection after your permit has been issued and your work is complete and ready for inspection. Inspections can be scheduled through Accela, by phone, or by text.
