We want you to have a better water heater, so we’re giving you a better offer

We’ve dropped the prices by $500 at some Tacoma stores.

Emergency calls

Most people don’t think about their water heater until it stops working, leaving no time to consider the best replacement option. Don’t wait until you have overnight guests, kids who have played outside all day, one more sleep until vacation, or a work meeting in 30 minutes to find yourself without hot water. Those scenarios, where you need hot water immediately, and other unplanned water heater replacements often come with high stress, expensive costs, and few options.

Numbers don’t lie

Standard water heaters use more energy than your refrigerator, dishwasher, clothes washer, and dryer combined. Replacing your electric water heater with a better model – one that uses heat pump technology to heat – can save you a lot of money: About $3,500 in electric savings over the life of the water heater.

Called a Heat Pump Water Heater, these more efficient models use 60% less energy than the electric versions. Many also offer a 10-year warranty, so you can rest easy with a steady supply of affordable, hot water for years to come.

If your water heater is more than 10 years old, now is the time to replace it. Don’t wait until you find yourself in a bind with no hot water, and you have to buy in a hurry.

How to get $500 now

Special offer: We’ve dropped the price of heat pump water heaters by $500 at these Tacoma stores:

  • Lowes: 2701 S Orchard Street – currently unavailable
  • Home Depot: 7050 Tacoma Mall Blvd.
  • Home Depot: 4602 Center Street
  • Home Depot: 101 East 152nd Street

If you buy a heat pump water heater at one of those stores, you’ll save $500 right at the register. There’s no need to submit an application, receipt, or proof that the product you bought is eligible.

If you buy a heat pump water heater at a non-participating store, you’re still eligible for a $500 rebate, but you’ll need to follow our standard process and meet specific requirements, which you can find here.
