Tacoma Power was notified by federal law enforcement of a security alert for the electrical grid. While there is no immediate threat to our systems, Tacoma Power follows federal reliability standards, including assessing physical risks to our critical energy infrastructure and applying recommended mitigation measures. In accordance with best practices, we do not share the details of our resiliency and security tactics. There have been isolated instances of vandalism to our critical energy infrastructure in the past, and we coordinate with regional and federal law enforcement in those cases.
