Income-qualified customers may be eligible to receive a grant that could cover a majority of the costs of energy efficiency improvements to their residence. Depending on the program, both home owners and tenants (with owner approval) may apply. If approved for a grant, customers do not need to repay the funds received, but may be responsible for minimal fees depending on the type of work performed. Interested customers must submit a grant application to verify eligibility and receive approval. Often, your contractor will help you complete the application. It may take us 4-6 weeks to process your application once it is received. To qualify, applicants must prove that 80% of their gross monthly income falls below the amounts listed in the following table, based on applicable household size. A deduction credit will be applied to earned income (20% deduction) and retirement income (10% deduction) that is taxed at the time of payout.
