Sales Tax Increase

Make sure you don’t end up footing part of your  customer’s bill or delaying your incentive payment by charging the wrong sales tax amount.

On April 1, sales tax in the City of Tacoma increased from 10.1% to 10.2%. On a $1,500 invoice, that means an additional $2 in sales tax should be collected.

While that’s not a big amount, there’s an important reason why you need to collect the right amount of sales tax:

  • Your incentive payment will be delayed unless the correct sales tax amount is listed on your invoice

Another important note:

  • Since the tax rate is based on the installation date, be sure to include that date on your invoice.
