Mossyrock Park is a family-friendly destination offering access to Riffe Lake in Lewis County, with opportunities for camping, boating, swimming, and picnicking.

Boat launch access, swim areas, and lake levels may vary throughout the year. Get information about day-use and boat launch availability.

Individual campsites

  • 152 individual campsites, including 76 with water and electric hookups

Group camps

  • Two primitive group camps (12 sites total, no hookups)

Please note: All parks are closed Dec. 20–Jan. 1. Learn more about availability, reservations, and fees. 

  • Boat launch and day use area: Open year-round, lake levels permitting.
  • Parking fee: A $10 parking fee is charged on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays between Memorial Day and Labor Day

  • Parking availability: When day-use parking areas are full, additional visitors may be turned away until spaces become available

  • Seasonal closure: Day-use areas are closed Dec. 20–Jan. 1

  • Boat launch (lake level permitting)

  • 3.5-mile loop trail (includes 0.8 miles that are wheelchair accessible)

From Tacoma, take Interstate 5 south to Highway 12 East (Exit 68). Drive east on Highway 12 for approximately 21 miles. Turn right on Williams Street (flashing yellow light). Continue several blocks on Williams Street to a “T” intersection in the town of Mossyrock. Turn left onto State Street. Outside of town, State Street becomes Mossyrock Road East and then Ajlune Road. Ajlune Road leads into the park.
