What is a home electrification assessment?
It’s a free assessment of your home to see what it would take to switch from gas, oil, or non-electric heating to clean energy-efficient options. You’ll get a customized report showing what’s possible, and steps you might take in the future.
Do I have to make upgrades after the assessment?
No. There is no obligation. The assessment is designed to provide you with helpful information to make informed decisions when considering an electrified future.
What does it cost?
Nothing. The assessment is completely free to qualified households, thanks to federal funding from the U.S. Department of Energy. The good news is you’ll receive a $50 check for participating!
How long does the assessment take?
Most assessments take 15 – 30 minutes. They can be done virtually or in person, depending on your preference.
