Women in Trades Event

Are you a woman interested in a career in the trades? Join us in an informal, open setting to learn about a variety of careers within trades across the City of Tacoma, including Power, Water, Rail, Public Works, Environmental Services, Planning & Development Services, and Police/Fire. You’ll hear from female leaders at the City, discuss the many trade careers, learn about career advancement, and hear first-hand accounts of what it’s like to be a female journey-level employee. We will also explain the hiring process and provide information about salary and benefits. While the event highlights opportunities for women in the trades across the City, everyone is welcome to attend and participate!

• 5:20 p.m. – Application process  
• 5:40 p.m. – Q&A with panel  
• 6:20 – 7:15 p.m. – Networking
