Curran Road Water Rates

Residential water surcharge rates increased by about 6%, effective January 1, 2025. 

Here is what Tacoma Water customers can expect.  

In 2017 Tacoma Water partnered with the Curran Road Mutual Water Company and transitioned its water system from a wholesale water account to individual retail accounts. In the agreement, all capital costs for improving the Curran Road system are to be paid back by a customer surcharge. This surcharge goes towards the water pipe projects approved for the acquisition, including system upgrades for increased water pressure and improved fire protection. 

The surcharge rate is in addition to, and separate from, the rate adjustment associated with your water service. More information is available here.
