CONSERVE IN YOUR HOME

Lighting Pledge
I pledge to switch 10 incandescents for 10 CFLs in 2010.

Tacoma Power has lots of ways to help you save money and become more energy-efficient at home. We can help you with discounts on compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) at local stores, adding insulation and replacing windows at home, and giving you $30 for recycling your old refrigerator or freezer. All of those things add up to savings on your electric bill and money in your pocket.

Take a look at our program information to find out all the ways we can help you lower your energy consumption and your electric bills so you can save money.

Saving energy and money. You get it.

What's new?

Take the pledge
Take the pledge to switch 10 incandescent bulbs for 10 CFLs in 2010. We'll send you a special window decal to let people know that you've made the pledge to switch and save. Get started on keeping your pledge by buying discounted CFLs - some as low as 50 cents a light - at local stores. You can also buy one CFL and get one free at select Walgreens locations this winter.

Appliance rebates are coming
Starting in the spring, the state of Washington plans to offer rebates on new energy-efficient clothes washers and refrigerators. The rebates will be funded with money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Read the latest information.
