Water Savings Kits
Tacoma Water offers free water-saving products to customers in our service area (must live in the Tacoma Water service area). These products can help you save water and lower your utility bill at home.
What you’ll get
Each kit includes simple, water-saving products that you can install yourself. You can choose products that help you save water in the shower, at the sink and outdoors. Some products can also help lower the energy you use to heat water.

Hose spray nozzle
This water-saving nozzle helps control water flow from your hose and offers seven patterns.
Hose timer
The timer shuts off automatically to help prevent water waste. It does not need batteries. We recommend turning off the hose valve when you finish watering.
Rain gauge
Most landscapes need about 1 inch of water each week, including rainfall. Use the rain gauge to measure how much water your yard gets from rain or sprinklers.

Showerhead
An efficient showerhead can save water and the energy you use to heat it. Installation takes about five to eight minutes, and a family of four could save about 3,600 gallons of water and $60 on utility costs each year.
The showerhead has two settings: massage and spray.
Faucet aerators
Faucet aerators mix air with the water flow to use less water. Installation takes two to five minutes and could save up to $25 each year on your energy bill.
- Kitchen sink aerator: Saves water while providing a soft bubble stream.
- Bathroom sink aerator: Uses a shower-style spray to reduce water use.
