Linda was appointed superintendent of Tacoma Water in 2010. Linda joined Tacoma Water in 1980 as a civil engineer. In 1993 she began serving as the utility's distribution manager, and in 2006 she became the utility's deputy superintendent. She holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Washington and is a licensed civil engineer.
Linda serves on both regional and statewide committees representing the interests of drinking water utilities and their customers as well as Tacoma Water. She is currently chair of the Washington Water Utility Council; past chair of the Pacific Northwest Section of the American Water Works Association; and treasurer for the Water Supply Forum.
Deputy water superintendent, Asset and Information Management manager
Heather joined Tacoma Water in 1994 and served as an engineer in Water Quality and Distribution Engineering. She later managed the Distribution Engineering section and in 2011 was named deputy water superintendent. Heather is a licensed civil engineer, holds an MBA from Pacific Lutheran University and a B.S. in environmental engineering from Northwestern University.
Heather's professional affiliations include the Washington Water Utility Council, Partnership for Water Conservation and the American Water Works Association.
Deputy water superintendent, Water Quality manager
Chris joined Tacoma Water in 2002 as a water quality engineer and became Water Quality manager in 2004. Chris was named deputy water superintendent in 2011, while continuing to manage the Water Quality section. Chris holds an M.S. and B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Washington. He has worked as an engineering consultant, a drinking water regulatory engineer and served in the U.S. Peace Corp as a water engineer in Kenya and the Dominican Republic.
Chris' professional affiliations include the American Water Works Association and the International Ozone Association.
Distribution Operations manager
Ray has spent his entire career at Tacoma Water. In 1998, Ray was appointed assistant water distribution manager. In 2006, he became the distribution operations manager.
Ray's professional affiliations include being the former chair and a current member of the Distribution Committee and a board member of the South Sound Subsection of the Pacific Northwest subsection of the American Water Works Association. Additionally, Ray serves as the former chair and a current member of Youth Building Tacoma Advisory Board for WorkSource Central.
Water Supply manager
Glen became the utility's Water Supply manager in 2010. He served six years in the Navy as an engineering laboratory technician in the nuclear engine room of a Trident submarine. Glen holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Washington and received his Professional Engineer's license in 1996. Glen came to Tacoma Water in 1992 and worked for years designing and supervising our capital construction projects.
Rates & Financial Planning manager
Sean joined Tacoma Water in 2010 as the Rates & Financial Planning assistant division manager. He became the Rates & Financial Planning manager in 2013. Sean has seven years of experience in government finance and rate development, having worked for the financial consulting firm FCS Group before coming to Tacoma Water. He studied economics at the U.S. Air Force Academy and has a B.S. in economics from the University of Washington.
Distribution Engineering manager
Tony graduated from Washington State University in 2002 with a B.S. in civil engineering and joined the Tacoma Water team shortly after. A licensed professional engineer, Tony has worked in Water's Distribution Engineering, Distribution Operations and Asset Management sections before taking the lead as Distribution Engineering manager in 2010.
