Meet the TPU Management Team
Tacoma Public Utilities is governed by the Public Utility Board, the members of which appoint the Director of Utilities, currently held by Jackie Flowers. TPU is made of three divisions, Tacoma Power, Tacoma Water and Tacoma Rail and each division has their own Superintendent or COO. In addition, there is a Customer Services Manager and a Deputy Director of Administration directly under the Director of Utilities and serving all of TPU. Together this team leads and oversees the operations of Tacoma Public Utilities.
Tacoma Power 2020 Highlights
Tacoma Power provided affordable, reliable electricity while ensuring physical and financial wellbeing through pandemic safety protocols, offering emergency assistance programs, and exceptional customer service during a global pandemic.
Tacoma Water 2020 Highlights
The Tacoma Water vision to be “an exceptional community resource empowering employees to deliver life-sustaining value” with clean, reliable water was in clear focus during the unforeseen and uncertain events of 2020. The utility’s core values, such as safety, stewardship, and adaptability, drove us daily to provide clean, reliable water while keeping our workforce safe and prepared.
Tacoma Rail 2020 Highlights
In 2020, Tacoma Rail continued to meet its goal of providing efficient, cost-effective rail service in its service area. That work required continual investment in infrastructure and a disciplined tactical plan to respond to fluctuations in local, national, and world economies about the rail industry.
