March 30, 2026

Last week, Tacoma Power employees recovered 782 Winter-run Steelhead, one Spring Chinook adult, and one Cutthroat adult over five days of operations at the Cowlitz Salmon Hatchery separator.

During the past week, Tacoma Power employees released 141 Winter-run Steelhead and one Spring Chinook into Lake Scanewa at the Copper Canyon release site and they released 70 Winter-run Steelhead at Franklin Bridge in Packwood.

Also, Tacoma Power released 78 Winter-run Steelhead and one Cutthroat trout into the Tilton River at Bremer Bridge near Morton.

River flow below Mayfield Dam is 13,900 cubic feet per second on Monday, March 30, 2026. Water visibility is 5 feet and water temperature is 44.1 (F). River flows could change at any time so boaters and anglers should remain alert for this possibility.
