Permit Fees

Permit fees are established by the City of Tacoma Electrical Code and vary based on the type of scope of your electrical project.

Electrical Service Connection Fees

Electrical service connection fees apply to new electrical services and certain modifications to existing electrical service.

Permit fees vary based on the type and scope of your electrical project. Refer to the City of Tacoma Electrical Code or, if applicable, use the commercial permit fee calculator to determine the fees for your project.

Permit fees cover the review and inspection of electrical work. Service connection fees apply when connecting new electrical service or modifying existing electrical service.

Applicable permit and service connection fees must be paid before a permit can be issued. Payments can be made in the Accela portal.
