Tacoma Power’s hydropower system includes four hydroelectric projects across western Washington that generate approximately 3 billion kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity each year. Operating these projects also includes managing lands and reservoirs, supporting recreation, protecting natural resources and meeting federal licensing requirements.
