If you are a residential customer, you can have a consistent monthly utility payment amount by enrolling in Budget Billing. Here’s how it works:

Your Budget Billing monthly payment for 12 months is based on three things:

  • Your electricity bill for the past 12 months divided by 11 and rounded to the nearest whole dollar.

  • Your water bill for the past 12 months divided by 11 and rounded to the nearest whole dollar.

  • Fixed monthly charges for Solid Waste, Surface Water and Wastewater utility services, if applicable.

At the 12th month (the anniversary of your plan start date) we'll recalculate your Budget Billing amount for the next 12 months. Any debit or credit from the previous Budget Bill term is divided by 12 and calculated into the next year's budget amount.
