Water Supply Outlook

Conditions in October 2018

Our region experienced its driest May through August on record. September received modest rainfall and near-normal daily high temperatures. Local streamflow remains well below normal. Daily water use continues to decline from peak summer demands towards normal, average daily use.

Overall, weather conditions remain dry. Water storage behind Howard Hanson Dam is sufficient to meet our in-stream flow requirements and provide for Chinook spawning from late September through mid-October. We have adequate water until the rains return in mid-to-late October and will continue to monitor water supply conditions.
