Public Utility Board taking public comment regarding future of Click! Network

The Public Utility Board intends to vote on a final resolution at its Sept. 28 meeting to give formal direction for a revised Click! Network business plan and establish Click!’s funding resources.

The draft resolution addresses options for the all-in, public sector business plan, which projects ongoing financial losses. At its Sept. 14 study session, the Public Utility Board will discuss how those losses would be funded – by electric ratepayers, taxpayers, or a combination of both. The draft also includes alternative provisions on some critical issues.

The board seeks public comment to help identify a preferred funding strategy for Click! Network to include in a final resolution.

The public can see the draft resolution, a broad outline of the business plan, and related financial projections, and provide written feedback at MyTPU.org/ClickResolution until Sept. 23.

The written comment period will run from Sept. 9 to Sept. 23. The board will accept in-person feedback at its 6:30 p.m. meetings on Sept. 14 and 28.
