Choose from a variety of payment methods designed to make paying your bill simple, secure and convenient.

With MyAccount, you can manage your utility account online, make payments, and sign up for paperless billing and AutoPay.

Phone

Payments can be made by phone using Visa, Discover or MasterCard.  You must have the last four digits of the primary account holder's Social Security Number (the first person listed on the bill) to make payment by phone.

Payments are accepted at our Customer Service department, located in the lobby of the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building, at 3628 S. 35th St., Tacoma.

Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, cashier's check, debit card, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and money orders.

Pay Boxes

It's easy to pay your utility bill at one of our 12 Pay Box locations. Pay Boxes are located at select Safeway stores throughout Pierce County and at the Tacoma Public Utilities administration building.  Some locations are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and all locations offer English and Spanish prompts.

Payments by check or money order can also be placed in one of the drop box locations on the TPU Administration campus.  Drop box locations: 3628 S. 35th St., Tacoma.

  • Drive-up drop box – parking lot directly across the street from the main entrance 
  • Walk-up drop boxes – front and west entrances
