Tacoma Rail Open House Aug. 28, 2010

Join Tacoma Rail in celebrating Tacoma’s maritime heritage by attending the annual open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28.

visitors will be treated to free train rides around the Tacoma’s Tideflats, will have the opportunity to walk through a locomotive and will get an exclusive peek at rarely seen rail maintenance equipment, rail yards and other rail operations. Tacoma Rail staff will be on hand to answer questions and share stories about Tacoma Rail operations.

Other activities at the open house include two large operating model train displays, games, clowns, face painting, food, giveaways and game booths.
