Electrical meters required inside cabinets
To ensure the safety of our employees and the public, and in the interest of increasing security and reducing vandalism at our facilities, we only accept electrical meters inside cabinets at unsupervised locations such as intersections, street corners, street margins and county or city roads. These cabinets must be EUSERC approved, according to Customer Service Policy 2.4 A 2 and must adhere to the requirements of Tacoma Power Standard C-MR-0020 - Metering Requirements, Unsupervised Locations. This policy change is effective immediately. It may affect installations such as street lighting, signal lighting, pump services, communication and data services.
