Use our online reservation system or call 833-290-8180 to reserve individual campsites, group camps and kitchen shelters at Tacoma Power Parks:

You can make a reservation up to nine months in advance for dates between May 15 and Sept. 15.

Individual campsites not reserved between May 15 and Sept. 15 are available for one-night stays on a first-come, first-served basis.

Extra vehicles at all Tacoma Power Parks – Only one vehicle is included in the camping fee. Additional vehicles, unless towed, cost $15 each per night. At Mossyrock Park, an unattended overnight vehicle is $20.

Discounts

You get a $10 per night discount on your campsite if you:

  • Are 62 years of age or older
  • Have a state disabled parking permit
  • Have a Washington State disability or disabled veteran pass
  • Have a U.S. military ID (active duty, retired, honorably discharged)

Discounts are for individual sites only and cannot be combined per night. You must show proof of eligibility at the park to receive the discount.

Day Use and Boat Launching
  • Day-use visitors may use the boat launches and picnic areas for free between 8 a.m. and dusk most of the year. However, there is a $10 day-use parking fee on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
  • You do not need a Discover Pass to access our parks, boat launches, day-use areas or wildlife lands.
Cancelling or Changing Your Reservation

The longer you have held a reservation for a campsite or kitchen shelter, the more it costs to cancel or reduce your stay. Changes and cancellations cannot be made more than eight months in advance of arrival date.

If you cancel or reduce the number of nights of your campsite or kitchen shelter reservation 7 days or more before your arrival date, you will pay the following fees:

  • 30% of the cost of all cancelled nights for reservations held more than 4 months
  • 20% of the cost for reservations held 2-4 months
  • 10% for reservations held 1-2 months
  • There is no fee for cancelling within one month of the reservation
  • There will also be a charge of $8 online or $10 when you call (833) 290-8180.

If you cancel 6 days or fewer before your arrival date, you will pay the full cost of your first night’s fee plus:

  • 30% of the cost of all cancelled nights for reservations held more than 4 months
  • 20% of the cost for reservations held 2-4 months
  • 10% for reservations held 1-2 months
  • There will also be a charge of $8 online or $10 when you call (833) 290-8180.

If you change your reservation without a reduction in nights, the following applies:

  • Extend your stay in the original site reserved with no additional change fee.
  • If you change your reservation without a reduction in nights, you will be charged $8 online or $10 at (833) 290-8180.
  • If space allows, you may change sites at check-in without a change fee.

Missed reservations:

  • We will consider your reservation a no-show if you have not arrived, requested that the park hold your site or cancelled your reservation by 1 p.m. the day after your scheduled arrival day.
  • There are no refunds in no-show situations.
General Reservation and Park Information
  • Campground check-in begins at 2:30 p.m. Check out is 1 p.m.
  • All Tacoma Power Parks are closed between Dec. 20 and Jan. 1. Camping at Mayfield Lake Park is closed between Oct. 16 and April 14.
  • Please register at the park when you arrive to secure your site, pay extra vehicle fees or confirm discounts.
  • Bring your confirmation email to speed up the registration process.
  • If you arrive after we have closed the gate for the day, please open the gate and then close it after you have entered the park. You may register the next morning.
  • We allow up to 8 people to occupy each campsite.
