Tacoma Power now offers rebates to apartment building owners who install insulation and/or replace single-pane windows with energy-efficient Class 30 windows. Rebates help offset the cost of improvement projects that will lower energy costs for building owners and tenants alike. Rebates apply to existing electrically heated multifamily buildings built before 1988 that are less than four stories in height and contain five or more dwelling units.
Additionally, buildings with 50 percent of the tenants meeting state minimum income guidelines may also qualify for special incentives. Please contact us at (253) 502-8363 or power@cityoftacoma.org for more information.
