Green power is electricity generated from renewable, non-polluting resources such as wind and solar. 

EverGreen Options is Tacoma Power’s green power program. Tacoma Power offers its customers the opportunity to support electricity generated by sustainable, renewable power sources having minimal impact on the earth’s natural resources. EverGreen Options is supplied by Renewable Energy Certificates - RECs, or Green Tags - from new wind resources in the Pacific Northwest.

Tacoma Power buys environmentally-friendly RECs - Green Tags - from the Bonneville Power Administration. These Green Tags are derived from the wind generation projects listed below, located in Washington and Oregon.
