Take advantage of the chance to get your energy-efficiency project moving with a zero-interest loan from Tacoma Power. A zero-interest loan, combined with financial incentives from our efficiency programs, can result in a positive cash flow right away for your business.
The cost of making energy upgrades can be offset with a loan, and efficiency upgrades reduce your operating costs, lowering electric bills for years to come.
Zero-interest loans of up to $500,000 are now available for your energy-efficiency upgrades.
Zero-interest loans:
- Are available in five-year terms for energy efficiency improvements to existing facilities in the Tacoma Power service area
- Are available for up to $500,000 or 70 percent of the project
- Cover most energy-efficiency project improvements, including lighting, electrical equipment, refrigeration and process equipment, and controls and energy management systems.
Know what to do
- Apply for a loan before you begin your project
- Work with a Tacoma Power energy expert to determine the cost of your project and the annual energy savings
- Complete your application and pay a $250 application fee (fee is refundable if the loan is denied)
- Once your loan is approved, make the monthly payments. Payments will not be included on your utility bill
