Make the efficiency upgrades your building needs

When you’re ready to replace or improve inefficient equipment or systems that power your business, know that you might be eligible for incentives from Tacoma Power. Improvements to your equipment can improve reliability and reduce repair costs while cutting your energy consumption and electric bill.

Incentives for all efficiency measures are calculated at 23 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for the first year project savings, not to exceed 70 percent of the total approved project cost. Efficiency levels must meet certain standards and technical requirements in order for equipment to qualify.

Energy studies
For complex commercial and industrial projects, Tacoma Power can fund up to 50 percent of the cost of an engineering energy study that will analyze efficiency projects and quantify energy savings and costs. Energy studies must be performed by qualified engineering firms.
