After many years of releasing water from Cushman Dam No. 2 into the North Fork of the Skokomish River at 60 cubic feet per second, Tacoma Power will increase the flow to 240 cubic feet per second starting tomorrow. We’re hosting an event to celebrate.

When: 2 p.m. on March 7

Where: Cushman Dam No. 2

What: Representatives from Tacoma Power and the Skokomish Tribe will push a button that will increase the flow in the river.

Directions:

  • From I-5 north or south, take Exit 104 – Highway 101 North.
  • Drive 35 miles and turn left on N Lake Cushman Road – SR 119
  • After 2.5 miles, turn left on Cushman Potlatch Road
  • Take a right on Lower Lake Road, which leads to the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife boat launch, where there is parking
