Tacoma Power has experienced a large power outage at its Roosevelt substation. The outage affects approximately 6,700 customers along Portland Ave. to Homestead Ave. We are still verifying, but at this time we believe the power outage also affects several schools:
- Harvard Elementary
- Larchmont Elementary
- Boze Elementary
- Fawcett Elementary
- Sheridan Elementary
- First Creek Middle School
Crews will determine the cause and make repairs as soon as possible. At this time, Tacoma Power estimates two to three hours to restore the outage. You may track information at mytpu.org or follow us on Facebook.
