Click! Cable TV is the region’s exclusive outlet for a first-ever television program about the Quileute Nation. The program, produced by ReelzChannel, shows the culture, traditions and history of the northwest tribe made famous by the Twilight saga of books and movies.
“Twilight fans will enjoy being transported to the celebrations of the Quileute culture in this special program provided exclusively to Click!,“ said Mitch Robinson, marketing and business operations manager for Click!. “Our customers will get a rare view into this part of the Northwest’s rich heritage.”
The episode will air ON Demand beginning Jan. 6. It captures the sweeping landscapes of the tribal lands. Viewers will see the locations recreated for the film, including the beach where Jacob tells Bella about the Cullen vampire legend; the cliffs that Bella leaps from to draw Edward back to her and the school Jacob attended as described in New Moon.
“The ‘Twilight phenomenon gives the Quileute Nation an opportunity to educate the world about the true history and creation story,” said Quileute spokesperson Jackie Jacobs. “It was very important to this Nation to partner with an organization we felt understood that the non-fictional Quileute story is more complex, multi-dimensional and sacred than the one everyone has been exposed to through the film. We have been inundated with requests from various outlets to tell the story but felt that ReelzChannel embodied the authentic direction we wanted to explore while keeping it fun and interesting for the fans.”
Click! ON Demand is accessible to Click! Cable TV customers with a digital receiver and is available 24/7. Just go to Click! ON Demand and click on “Twilight Spotlight” in the lower left corner.
