Click! Cable TV will play a substantial role in publicizing Tacoma School of the Arts (SOTA) events and will provide other resources to its staff and students thanks to a partnership with the School of the Arts Partner Foundation. Click! customers can view SOTA students’ original productions when they want for free beginning Feb. 7 on video-on-demand (VOD).

“Tacoma School of The Arts’ Partner Foundation is thrilled to offer SOTA students an outlet for their original videos, photographs, graphics, music, performances and art work,” said Co-director Jon Ketler. “This is what our school is all about–offering students a creative path of learning in our own community.”

Click! VOD will showcase all aspects of SOTA programs including Visual Arts, which teaches drawing, photography, sculpture, graphic design and painting, and Performing Arts, which offers advanced training in dance, vocal music, technical theater, instrumental music, songwriting and audio recording.

“Showcasing local artists on the only locally based cable system in this area will provide exciting programming for our customers and great experience for SOTA students,” said Mitch Robinson, Marketing & Business Operations manager for Click! Network. “We also look forward to supporting the mission of the SOTA Partner Foundation through the time, energy and expertise of our employees.

Click! Network’s partnership with SOTA does not end with video-on-demand. Students have been tasked with tying their creative talent to a business objective.

“Our senior graphic design class is working under a real-world deadline to develop a visual concept for Click!’s 10th Anniversary and presenting our ideas to them in the next few weeks, “ said Aaron Locke, SOTA graphic design instructor. “From there we will take their feedback and work as a class on a logo to be developed by this summer.”
