Barbara Ostrander has been named manager of the Management Services Office at Tacoma Public Utilities, effective June 1. Ostrander will be responsible for budget formulation, insurance, claims and records management. Mark Crisson, director of Tacoma Public Utilities, appointed Ostrander to succeed Noel Naumann, who is retiring.

Ostrander has worked for the City of Tacoma since 1995, most recently in the Information Technology department. She also has worked in several positions in the Finance Department.

Ostrander’s past experience includes accounting work at two private firms and 14 years of experience at Nordstrom.

Ostrander is a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in business. She is a licensed certified public accountant in the State of Washington.
