How contractors can participate
• When bidding a multifamily building served by Tacoma Power, complete a Detail Application Form for each building. If more than one building is being bid, summarize the data from all buildings on the Rebate Application Form. The Rebate Application Form will determine the amount of the rebate. Have the property owner or their representative sign the form. Their signature will constitute acceptance of you as their contractor. Do not submit forms for a project unless the owner or their representative has awarded you the job.
• Submit the completed Rebate Application Form and all accompanying Project Detail Form(s), along with a copy of the completed project bid, to Tacoma Power staff for review. Forms may be mailed, faxed or physically delivered to the addresses below. Tacoma Power will review the application and visit the site to verify information on the Detail Application Form. We may contact you if we have questions about the bid.
• Upon successful verification, Tacoma Power will notify the property owner or representative that they may proceed with the job. The owner will contact you and schedule an installation date. All measures must comply with the multifamily specifications.
• When the job is completed, call Tacoma Power at (253) 502-8363 to schedule an inspection.
• Upon successful inspection, a check will be issued in the name of the owner. If the owner agrees, they may assign payment to you.
